SPECIAL PROGRAMS

SPECIAL EXHIBITION_THE ALCHEMY OF IMAGES

Curated by Sungho Kim (art critic)ㅣFeatured Artists: Jaehong An, Suchul Kim, Sangmin Lee, Jeoungeun Lim, Jooho Moon

This special exhibition is to introduce 5 artists who follow in the footsteps of ancient alchemists who had strived to formulate, from materials of chaos, gold and medicine for longevity and eternal youth. Standing in front of the magical images these artists have created with their alchemy and through consistent experiments, we will surely have not only a mysterious experience of fantasy but also a chance to ponder philosophically upon the properties of materials.

FAIR SPONSOR'S EXHIBITION I <EVENT HORIZON>_TOYOTA

Sponsor: TOYOTA MOTOR KOREA CO.,LTD.ㅣCurated by Taeyoun KimㅣFeatured Artists: Kiyoul Cha, Jinyong Jeong, Byeonggwon Kim, Yeleen Lee

Fair Sponsor's Exhibitions are special exhibitions where Doors Art Fair works closely with fair sponsors in a new level of mecenat program bridging art, the public and the company. With this special approach, Doors Art Fair wishes to draw companies to a more active involvement in art rather than taking an indirect part in an art event. Art creates something that doesn't exist naturally in the real world and often lets us see the world through different eyes. We hope this special exhibition, made possible through the generous sponsorship of TOYOTA MOTOR KOREA CO.,LTD. will suggest an admirable direction of how corporations can support art in a substantive and valuable way.

FAIR SPONSOR'S EXHIBITION II <SUGAR AND CAFFEINE>_Italico & July 1st

Sponsored by Italico, July 1stㅣCurated by Sohee ParkㅣFeatured Artists: Chiyun Cho, Jeeyun Choi, Sen Chung, Minkyung Lee, Jeanie Lee, Sunmin Moon, Jihyun Shin, Song Song, Sangyuel Yoon

Being startlingly different when felt on the palate and tongue, sugar and caffeine share a common quality of alertness and yet ironically induce different physical reactions, that is, relaxation and contraction respectively. Through this collaborative exhibit, generously supported by Italico, the prestigious Italian capsule coffee brand and July 1st run by sugar craft artist, Eunsil Kang, we will surely have sensational alertness with new experiences and energy.
